Our Mission Statement is in the works and will always be an evolving thing with the changing times. For now we can say that we want to emphasize the philosophy that small businesses providing true value to it's local community is more vital than ever in these hard economic times. We will always be looking for unique and innovative ways in order to provide this value to both our customers and local community as a whole. We want to take a vocal stance that the future of business in this country, and even the world, is a bottom up phenomenon of dedicated people following their passions and providing genuine service to their neighbors.
Fantasies provided by Wall Street are quickly coming to be seen as an illusion and are no longer the future of the American Dream. We are. All of us. Here and now. It was always about us, collaborating together and creating together.
There is no better business than the comic book business to test these statements. For it is often forgotten that comic books and pop art in general are ultimately not about "collecting things" or about escaping into different worlds of entertainment, but about finding other people that share the same interests and forming quality relationships from such mutual passions. No other community is as dedicated as the comic book culture to both these modern day mythologies and the people they share them with. This is truly where the excitement of pop art is derived, far beyond the stack of mint condition books or the latest Hollywood super hero grand spectacle, but in a understanding that the people hanging out at the comic book shop are in reality far more interesting than the fictional superheroes they adore.
